Boti — Turkish Airlines' chatbot

Turkish Airlines’ multiplatform assistant, live on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and BiP. A serverless backend on AWS handled webhooks and Dialogflow fulfillment; DynamoDB kept user state; Step Functions drove timed and scheduled messages.

Why it matters now: this was conversational AI in production at airline scale, years before LLMs made it easy. Boti is the grandfather of TKAssistant — the AI assistant that answers Turkish Airlines’ passengers today — and the start of the conversational thread that, seven years later, put the airline inside Claude and ChatGPT.
