Boti: Turkish Airlines' chatbot

Turkish Airlines’ multiplatform assistant, live on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and BiP. A serverless backend on AWS handled webhooks and Dialogflow fulfillment; DynamoDB kept user state; Step Functions drove timed and scheduled messages.

Why it matters now: this was conversational AI in production at airline scale, years before LLMs made it easy. Boti is the grandfather of TKAssistant, the AI assistant that answers Turkish Airlines’ passengers today, and the start of the conversational thread that, seven years later, put the airline inside Claude and ChatGPT.
